Dumani: There have been attempts to undermine our work, with slander and threats

The head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Altin Dumani, said that he and his colleagues were threatened because of their duties.

"We have faced attempts to undermine our work, with insults, slander, threats against us or our family members. But in the face of these, we have gathered together as a single body of colleagues. We have realized how important is the independence of the institution where we work and how important is the integrity of each of us. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are wrong. We have sworn to serve the country, Albanian justice and Albanian citizens", said Dumani in his speech during the ceremony on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the creation of SPAK.

He added that SPAK is today independent and that it is working to ensure that the law is equal for everyone.

In his speech, Duman thanked the internationals, the State Police and BKH, but also the media and family members. "A special thanks goes to our family members, who have understood us for the time they missed. Our success cannot make sense without you!" said Dumani. (A2 Televizion)
