Four Albanian citizens have been extradited to our country from Italy and Greece, after being accused/convicted of criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
Through a statement, the Police announced that the extradition of these citizens was carried out by Interpol Tirana in intensive cooperation with international partners.
46-year-old Altin Merdani was extradited from Greece, while citizens Fatmir Isollari, 58, citizen Xh. H., 30, and citizen AA, 27, were extradited from Italy, A2 CNN reported.

Interpol Tirana - Intensive cooperation with partners resulted in the extradition of 4 citizens accused/convicted of criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
As a result of the coordination of operational actions between INTERPOL's homologous structures in Tirana, Rome and Athens, the procedures for the extradition of 4 citizens were finalized. Specifically:
1. Citizen Altin Merdani, 46 years old, was extradited from Greece to Albania, after the Gjirokastra Court, in 2017, sentenced him to 4 years and 8 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", because in 2015, in collaboration with citizens P. Sh. and GI, he transported about 100 kg of Cannabis to the village of Frashër, Përmet. During the commission of this criminal activity, 3 citizens were shot with a gun. Citizen GI was injured by the shooting. From the sentence, the 46-year-old has about 2 and a half years of imprisonment left to serve;
2. Citizen Fatmir Isollari, 58 years old, was extradited from Albania to Italy, after the Florence Court of Appeal sentenced him to 7 years in prison for trafficking the narcotic substance Cocaine, committed within the framework of a criminal organization;
3. Citizen Xh. H., 30 years old, was extradited from Albania to Italy, after the Court of Rome imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for drug trafficking, participation in a criminal conspiracy and extortion under aggravating circumstances;
4. Citizen AA, 27 years old, was extradited from Albania to Italy, after the Court of Rome issued an arrest warrant for him, for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics". (A2 Televizion)
