Under strict security measures, the former leader of the Durrës gang, Lulzim Berisha, arrived at Rinas airport this evening.
He was extradited by Spanish authorities, at the request of the Special Prosecution Office.
Despite Lulzim Berisha opposing his extradition, claiming that his life was in danger in Albania, the National Court of Spain decided to accept the request of our authorities for his conduct and to face Albanian justice.
Lulzim Berisha was arrested in Spain on December 14, 2023. He was living in the city of Alicante under a false identity, while in Albania he was declared an international wanted person. (A2 Televizion)
