A bar was completely destroyed by flames overnight in the tourist area of Theth.
The owner of the building engulfed in fire, Aida Gjeçaj, spoke to the media regarding this event, saying that she had no conflicts with anyone and did not know who to blame for this incident.
She added that the damage caused to the building was around 150 thousand euros, while saying that she found the coincidence with the government's action to demolish unauthorized buildings strange.
Gjeçaj claimed that the building she built was not on the list of buildings to be demolished, as according to her, she has not built anything without a permit in all these years.
Aida expressed some happiness that the fire did not cause any damage to people in her facility, saying that 'the irons come and go and the restaurant will be rebuilt again'.
"I don't know, because last night I was in Tirana, because I was there for administrative work and they notified me at 02:00 in the morning that there was a fire in my facility. The fire department didn't manage to arrive on time, but it came anyway, it was present."
Thank you to all the neighbors who came and provided first aid, to make it possible to isolate the fire, so that it would not spread to other buildings such as the kitchen and the guesthouse. I don't know who to blame, because I haven't had any problems with anyone. The coincidence with the government's action to demolish illegal buildings is bad, because I didn't agree to build anything without a permit and I wasn't prosecuted for demolishing the building, but I don't know.
