The police have carried out 14 checks at the request of the Elbasan prosecutor's office, which is conducting investigations regarding financial abuse at the Elbasan incinerator, which is administered by the company "ECO-ELB".
The focus of the inspections was the residence of the administrator of "ECO-ELB", Leli Kraja, several deputy mayors of local municipalities in the Elbasan region, several legal directors of municipalities and directors of Finance, writes A2 CNN.
The checks come at a time when the Elbasan prosecution has exhausted the interrogation phase of 43 people, on behalf of an investigation that has been registered for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office" and "Waste mismanagement".
