Vlora Police have held a media conference to provide details about the arrest of the highly wanted Flodian Plaku alias Florjan Serjani (Mamo), who is suspected of being directly involved in the murder of former police officer Gentian Bejtja.
The arrest took place at a hotel in the Orikum area, where Plaku was caught red-handed armed and with 25,000 euros in cash in his bag.
During the police intervention in the hotel where he was hiding, along with citizen Flodian Plaku, citizen Julian Aliaj alias Julian Pashaj, 43 years old, was also arrested, who during the operation was caught with a pistol firearm with a magazine of cartridges.
Flodian Plaku alias Florjan Serjani (Mamo) is accused of the murder of citizen Gentjan Bejtja, on 15.03.2024, who was shot with a firearm inside the perimeter of his apartment.
The investigative actions revealed that the perpetrators approached the victim's apartment in a "Land Rover" vehicle and, after committing the murder, fled to the village of Hasan, where they burned the vehicle.
Flodian Plaku, also known by the nickname "Qorri" or "Pole", is suspected of having had a direct role in the serious criminal incident.
Also, 3 people identified as Albano Lapshi, Armand Dano and Ligor Doko were arrested, after they helped shelter, communicate and move Flodian Plaku while he was wanted. (A2 Televizion)
