Arrested 4 months after the murder of 58-year-old Renato Hoxha in Vlora, the court leaves the suspected perpetrator in prison. 42-year-old Armando Gega was arrested on Friday and is suspected of executing Renato Hoxha, the guard of a building under construction in the city of Vlora, with a firearm.
The court decided to accept the prosecution's request, which accuses him of being a member of a criminal group operating in the field of serious crimes and previously convicted of illegal possession of weapons. According to the prosecution, the 42-year-old had the role of an informant for the group, which also included several members who collaborated to organize the murder.
According to the prosecution, there is evidence that Armando Gega was directly involved in the crime, traveled in the car of the Romanian executioner, who remains at large, and provided the latter with information and the firearm.
