A 52-year-old citizen, Pllum Daci, has been arrested by the Police in Durrës, after being sentenced to 14 years and 10 months in prison in Italy, for five criminal offenses including "Attempted murder", "Robbery", "Threat", "Theft" and "Exploitation of prostitution".
Through a statement, the Police announced that this citizen, a resident of Kamëz, was arrested while entering the Port of Durres, with the aim of towing a vehicle sent by his relatives abroad.
His arrest was made after he was declared an internationally wanted person by Interpol Rome/Italy, while his extradition procedures are ongoing, writes A2 CNN.

The Border Police Services at the Port of Durres, based on information received that a wanted citizen was about to enter the Port of Durres with the aim of retrieving a vehicle sent from abroad by his relatives, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Five Charges".
As a result of the strengthening of controls exercised at the entry and exit at the Port Durrës BCP, within the framework of the operation codenamed "Five Charges", by the services of the Port Durrës Border Police Station in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Crimes and Implementation of Supplementary Measures for the Control of the Territory, citizen Pllum Daci, 52 years old, resident of Kamëz, Tirana, was captured and arrested for extradition purposes.
The arrest of this citizen was made after he was an internationally wanted person by Interpol Rome/Italy on 24.07.2024.
The Court of Naples/Italy has sentenced this citizen to 14 years and 10 months in prison (13 years and 9 months left to serve) for the criminal offenses of "Attempted murder", "Robbery", "Threat", "Theft" and "Exploitation of prostitution" provided for by the articles of the Italian Criminal Code.
Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with Interpol Rome to extradite this citizen to Italy. (A2 Televizion)
