Three days after conducting searches in his apartment in the "Dobraç" neighborhood, Shkodër, RENEA forces arrested Safet Bajri as one of the organizers of the murder of Fatbardh Lici in 2018.
Described as one of the "strongmen" of Shkodra, with a significant criminal past, he was arrested pursuant to a security measure issued by the Special Court at the request of SPAK.
According to his lawyer, Sokol Tahiraj, on Friday morning, Safet Bajri voluntarily appeared at the Shkodra Police to provide a DNA sample, requested by BKH agents on behalf of SPAK.
There he was confronted by RENEA forces, who, without giving him any explanations, escorted him to Tirana, to the Local Police Directorate.
In its exterior, Bajri appeared smiling with his hands handcuffed behind his back amidst a group of masked RENEA officers. Moments later, he was given a "prison arrest" order on suspicion of premeditated murder, criminal group and acts committed by a criminal organization, writes A2.
Officially, SPAK announced that Safet Bajri, in collaboration with Behar Bajri (Brajovic) and Astmer Bilali, previously arrested for the "Metamorphosis" file, planned, organized and shot Fatbardh Liçi, a relative of Ibrahim Liçi, an event that occurred on August 10, 2018 in Shkodra.
According to SPAK, the motive for the murder is suspected, among other things, to be revenge for the murder of Boran Bërçana, who was killed on July 15, 2018 along with his partner, Silvi Ndoci, a month before Fatbardh Lici was killed, reports A2.
The investigation revealed that Behar Bajri blamed Ibrahim Liçi for the murder of former police officer Bërçana. Meanwhile, Behar Bajri and Astmer Bilali have been informed of the new charges that have been placed in pre-trial detention cells.
A few days ago, RENEA raided Dobraç, an area with significant influence of the Bajri family, where it searched several apartments, including that of Safet Bajri. (A2 Televizion)
