A motorcycle suspected of being used in Thursday's attack in the Lundra area, where four people traveling in a "Mercedes Benz G Class" were injured, was found today in Mullet.
"Following the continuous checks and investigative actions being carried out by the special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of the incident that occurred on 17.04.2025, in Lundë, where a gun was fired at a vehicle carrying 4 citizens, the Police services, today, have found near the village of Fikas, Mullet, a burned-out motorcycle, which is suspected to have been used by the perpetrators of this incident," the police announced.
Tirana Police informs that investigations into the serious incident continue and the investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident and secure any evidence that will lead to the identification and capture of the perpetrators.
The people traveling in the luxury Mercedes Benz G Class were returning to Tirana from a party where they had been to celebrate the 11th birthday of one of them who was also injured. The vehicle was ambushed by still unidentified people who opened fire with a Kalashnikov rifle from a moving motorcycle. The driver of the G Class, 34-year-old Arens Stafa, performed several maneuvers on the road to escape from the killers and drove towards Lundra. On the road, because he himself was injured, he lost control and collided with another car, and then lost consciousness.
He, a 19-year-old man and two brothers, the sons of the owner of a private security company, aged 11 and 17, were taken to hospital by local residents who then notified the police. Three of the injured are out of danger, while the 11-year-old boy was wounded in the chest and his condition is more serious. The police do not have a concrete investigative lead for the attack on them, as it turned out that they are not problematic people or have criminal records.
