Jet Skis, dinghies and boats, 41 floating vehicles blocked in the south of the

The Border Police have blocked 41 vessels in recent days, mainly in the south of the country.

Through a statement, the Police announced that the vehicles blocked are 7 Jet Skis and 34 dinghies and boats.

Likewise, the drivers of these vessels were punished with various administrative measures for the violations they committed.

Police have called on boat drivers to respect the safety perimeter of beachgoers, writes A2 CNN.

Ksamil - Vlora 

Intensive checks by the Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit continue along the entire coastline of the Vlora district, on vessels, mainly recreational ones ????️⛵️????, to verify documentation and enforce navigation rules.    

Of the 132 vessels inspected in recent days, from Ksamil to Saranda, 41 were found to be illegal ❌. 

✅41 watercraft are blocked (7 Jet Skis, 34 dinghies and boats).  

❗️The drivers of these vessels were punished for the following violations:

•3 for violating the security perimeter - administrative measure 100,000 lek each;

•2 for exceeding the number of persons allowed on board - administrative measure 30,000 lek each; 

•1 for exercising an activity without a license - administrative measure 100,000 lekë;   

•1 for failure to register ownership of a vessel - administrative measure 20,000 lekë;

•34 for lack of documentation on board - administrative measure 10,000 lek each.

The Vlora Border Police appeals to owners and users of watercraft to respect the safety perimeter of beachgoers, to correctly implement legal requirements for going out to sea and to be equipped with the relevant documentation. 

The Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit are maximally committed to guaranteeing security on the beaches and, in this context, will intensify controls and monitoring from land and at sea, along the entire coastline.
