Durrës police announced that they have seized 670,000 liters of oil suspected of being smuggled from Tunisia. Authorities arrested 3 people after the operation codenamed "Black Gold", reports A2 CNN. The citizens arrested were: Mohammd Kahilah, Eneo Cano and Sushil Vema.

The ship with which the oil was smuggled, 14 identification documents and navigation documents, 10 mobile phones and other documents that will serve the investigation of the case were also seized.

"As a result of the work of the police intelligence and the close cooperation between the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of DVP Durrës, Anti-Smuggling and the Section for Operational Support of the Investigation of DVP Durrës, the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the DPPSh, The Directorate of Border and Migration Durres, Guardia di Finanza Durres, Customs Branch Durres, the coded police operation was organized and finalized "Black gold".

During the operation, the Syrian citizen MK, 45 years old, with the duty of captain of the ship, the Albanian citizen EC, 43 years old, with the duty of sailor of the ship, as well as the Indian citizen SV, 42 years old, with the duty of first officer of the ship, were arrested in the act. Also, the suspected organizers of this case, citizens ES, 59 years old, resident of Durrës, and FB, 29 years old, resident of Switzerland, were identified and declared wanted," the police said.

Further, during this operation, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for 5 other members of the ship's crew, responsible for the maintenance of the vehicle.

From checks on the ship, 670,000 liters of oil suspected to be smuggled from Tunisia were found in the balustrades that serve to balance the vehicle.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
