The Special Court has decided to dismiss the criminal case initiated after a complaint for "slander" by the lawyer Valentina Teodoresku against the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, his son, Shkëlzen Berisha, three DP deputies and some journalists.
Teodorescu is the lawyer appointed mainly by the court to protect the interests of Sali Berisha in the hearing of the verification of the first measure "obligation to appear" and "ban on going abroad", in October 2023.
Teodorescu claimed as slanderous the public statements of those referred by her where they identified her as a patronageist and former investigator of the time of the dictatorship.
According to the court's decision, the case was dismissed due to the non-appearance of the accuser Teodorescu in Monday's session without reasonable cause. (A2 Televizion)
