The Border Police of the Shkodra Local Directorate for Border and Migration has finalized the police operation codenamed "Borders", cracking down on another case of providing assistance for illegal border crossing.
An Azerbaijani citizen, 27 years old, with the initials NM, has been arrested, who was caught red-handed at the place called "Ura e Hotit", in the village of Kastrat, while accompanying four citizens from Afghanistan, with the aim of illegally crossing the land border towards Montenegro, writes A2 CNN.
During his physical search, the police found and seized a knife.
According to preliminary investigations, the 27-year-old is suspected of helping immigrants from third countries cross the border illegally, in return for payment. (A2 Televizion)
