The Supreme Court is reviewing today the request for release from detention of Mayor Erion Veliaj.
A panel composed of judges Albana Boksi, Mehdi Bici and Sokol Binaj will judge Veliaj's appeal against the decisions that have imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on him.
According to sources for A2 CNN, it is reported that the review takes place in a consultation room, without the presence of the parties.
Mayor Veliaj has been in custody since February of this year, while being investigated for "corruption", "money laundering" and "concealment and non-declaration of assets".
Veliaj was arrested by order of the Special Prosecution Office, following investigations into 'Nesti Angon's' complaint against him. (A2 Televizion)
