Domestic violence continues to escalate in a worrying manner in the capital.
"Over the weekend alone, 25 cases of domestic violence were reported to Tirana police stations, an alarming figure that indicates a deep and growing social wound."
According to the data, the incidents include violence between spouses, violence against children, but also against parents, as well as violent conflicts between young people in romantic relationships. Some of the most unusual cases involve young women who have exercised violence against their partners, challenging traditional perceptions of the roles of violence in intimate relationships. One such case was reported by a young man who stated that while returning to Tirana, he was physically raped by his girlfriend in the vehicle. The latter, now wanted by the blue uniforms.
"In many cases, it is fathers, but also mothers, who have exercised physical and psychological violence against their children, while in others, married couples have been involved in mutual fights, requiring the immediate intervention of law enforcement."
Under these conditions, the issuance of an immediate protection order was for both parties, both the woman and her husband. Currently, the police are following up on every reported case according to legal procedures, while some of them have been referred to the prosecutor's office for criminal prosecution. (A2 Televizion)
