The Special Appeals Chamber, the second level of vetting, decided to confirm the prosecutor of the Tirana Prosecution Office, Valentin Preçi, in office.
The KPA found the decision given by the KPK (Independent Qualification Commission) in January 2024 for Preçin to be correct, giving him a positive grade in all three re-evaluation criteria, writes A2 CNN.
It is also learned that the decision was made by a majority vote by the KPA panel headed by Ina Rama and including judges Sokol Çomo, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Shuetz and Mimoza Tasi.
The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, who presented the reasons for the appeal raised by the former Public Commissioner, Florian Ballhysa, as well as the subject of the reassessment, prosecutor Valentin Preçi, were not present at the hearing to announce the decision. (A2 Televizion)
