The mayor of Kolonja, Erion Isai, appeared at SPAK this Wednesday and was questioned by investigators for about an hour.
Upon leaving SPAK, Isai was skeptical about the reason for his second summons to the Special Prosecution Office. He said that he gave statements about an old case from 2023.
"I gave some additional explanations from 2023. I don't know if I should say the issue I was on, since it belongs to... and I didn't ask if I should say it. I gave some additional explanations and I was in the capacity of a declarant," said Erion Isai after leaving SPAK.
In 2023, Isai was questioned at SPAK about awarding a tender for the Korça-Ersekë road.
Sources told A2 CNN that Isai has already been charged with another road tender. The charges include several criminal offenses, passive and active corruption, abuse of office, violation of equality of tender participants, and concealment of assets.
