New details have emerged from the murder of an elderly man in Zall-Bastar.
Xhemal Meta, for years, lived alone in Shëngjin i Vogël, part of the Zall-Bastar administrative unit, while his family lives in Tirana.
Investigators suspect that the elderly man may have had a conflict with local residents over village matters, but the possibility that he was hit with the intention of stealing cannot be ruled out.
A2's sources say that his wallet and several other items he was carrying were not found, however the house was found intact.
When asked about the incident and any suspicions they may have, the family members told the police that the elderly man had no conflicts with anyone and they do not suspect any of the people living nearby, as they are also blood relatives.
Only 4 families live there and all have been questioned, but they declare that they have no knowledge of the incident. The police are carrying out several actions with the aim of finding the perpetrator. (A2 Televizion)
