Also, during the searches conducted, 4 others were criminally prosecuted, after shotguns, shotgun cartridges, sporting weapons and 16,980 British pounds were found in their homes.

The police operation codenamed "Cultivation" is being finalized by the Kuçovë Police Commissariat in cooperation with the Berat DVP under the direction of the Berat Prosecutor's Office.
After a several-year investigation, a case of cultivation of hundreds of narcotic plants in 2021 was revealed.
1 citizen is arrested and 2 others are wanted, suspected of cultivating narcotic plants.
Also, during the checks carried out following this operation, 4 other citizens were criminally prosecuted, after a shotgun, shotgun cartridges, sporting weapons and 16,980 British pounds were found in their homes.
The Kuçovë Police Commissariat in cooperation with the Berat DVP under the direction of the Berat Prosecutor's Office, finalized after a several-year investigation the "Cultivation" operation, as a result of which the citizen Sh. H., 28 years old, resident of the village of Mendrak, Kuçovë, was arrested, and the citizens B. Ll., 23 years old, resident of Lezha and EM, 34 years old, resident of Tirana were declared wanted.
All three of these citizens are suspected of cultivating cannabis narcotic plants in the village of Mendrak, Kuçovë, in 2021, which were discovered and destroyed at the time by the Police.
Also, following the operation, in accordance with the search orders issued by the Berat Court, house searches were carried out, where at the end of the searches, 3 citizens were prosecuted for the criminal offenses "Unlicensed production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons", "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", as well as 1 citizen for the criminal offense "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", specifically the citizens:
-EG, 29 years old, resident of the village of Mendrak, Kuçovë, (previously convicted by British authorities for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants"), after 16,980 British pounds were found in his apartment, which are suspected to have been derived from illegal activity in the United Kingdom.
-VH, 51 years old, resident of the village of Mendrak, Kuçovë, after 1 shotgun and shotgun cartridges were found in her apartment.
-RG, 54 years old, resident of the village of Mendrak, Kuçovë, after 1 sporting weapon and several live ammunition were found in his apartment.
-V. (Q). K., resident of the village of Magjat, Kuçovë, after shotgun cartridges were found in his apartment.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat, for further action.
