Former Democratic Party MP, Ervin Salianji, has been released from Fier prison, where he had been serving a 1-year prison sentence since October 2024.
Sources from inside the hearing indicate that the probation service report was positive, while the prosecutor agreed to the release.
In the last session, the behavioral assessment report from the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Decisions (IEVP) in Fier was presented, which, according to Salianj's lawyer, Ledio Braho, resulted positive.
We recall that Salianji was sentenced to 1 year in prison by a final decision for false reporting in connection with the "Babale" case.
On the other hand, he and the opposition have described the process against him as politically rigged and have called the decision unfair.
