A total of 5,300 drivers have been administratively fined by the Traffic Police in Tirana over the last 72 hours. The fines come after findings of traffic violations that endanger the lives of road users.
Also, 4 citizens were arrested for drunk driving, 3 others for driving without a license, one person for driving under the influence of narcotics, and 2 citizens who were wanted for traffic violations.
"As a result of the use of the fleet with intelligent devices, 5,300 drivers were administratively punished, mainly for: wrongful overtaking, speeding above the permitted speed limits, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt or not wearing a protective helmet. Also, 10 vehicles that had occupied public spaces in violation of the law were towed with a lifting vehicle," the police explain. (A2 Televizion)
