Lezha police have prevented a possible criminal incident in the village of Dajç, by arresting a 39-year-old man, identified as Arben Leka, who was circulating armed with a Kalashnikov and combat ammunition.
Through a statement, the Police announced that the authorities intervened immediately after receiving information that a citizen was traveling on a motorcycle without license plates and armed, with the intention of committing a possible criminal act, due to a previous conflict.
The officers located the vehicle and neutralized its driver, who attempted to flee the scene. During the search, an automatic firearm with a loaded cartridge (ready to fire), a quantity of combat ammunition, and the vehicle itself without license plates were found in the vehicle, writes A2 CNN.

At the end of the procedural actions, the arrest in flagrante delicto of citizen AL, 39 years old, resident of Lezha, was made for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided for by Article 278 of the Criminal Code.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further legal action.
