A serious domestic crime has been recorded in Fier, after a 26-year-old woman strangled her father to death with a wire and then reported it to the police as an accidental event. The police have solved the incident by handcuffing the 26-year-old and escorting her mother.
The serious incident occurred shortly before midnight yesterday in the village of Frashër in Fier.
The police suspected and discovered the truth of the incident after the 26-year-old's statement to the police.
"The Police Services, during the deposition of the 26-year-old and during the first investigative actions, have created suspicion that the loss of the 56-year-old's life was not accidental and for this reason, in-depth investigations have continued. During these actions carried out in coordination with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, it resulted that citizen ER killed her father, citizen AR, for weak motives, with a strangulation device (choked with a wire).
Then, the 26-year-old, allegedly in collaboration with her mother, also the wife of citizen AR, citizen VR, 53, attempted to prevent the discovery of the truth by cleaning the body of the 56-year-old. After these actions, citizen ER notified the Police.

As a result of rapid and professional investigations, the dynamics and authorship of a domestic crime are revealed.
She killed her father, through strangulation (choking with a wire), and reported it to the police, around midnight, as an accidental event, the 26-year-old is arrested.
Her mother is being accompanied, as she is suspected of having collaborated in cleaning the body of the murdered 56-year-old, with the aim of staging the event as an accident.
As a result of professional and rapid investigations, carried out by specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Fier Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, following the report of citizen ER, 26 years old, at around 23:00 on 23.07.2025, that her father, citizen AR, 56 years old, had accidentally lost his life, in their apartment, in the village of Frashër, the "Staging" operation was finalized.
Police services, during the deposition of the 26-year-old and during the first investigative actions, have created suspicion that the loss of the 56-year-old's life was not accidental and for this reason, in-depth investigations have continued.
During these actions carried out in coordination with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, it resulted that citizen ER killed her father, citizen AR, for weak motives, with a strangulation device (strangulation with a wire).
Subsequently, the 26-year-old, in collaboration with her mother, also the wife of citizen AR, citizen VR, 53, allegedly attempted to prevent the discovery of the truth by cleaning the body of the 56-year-old. After these actions, citizen ER notified the Police.
The 53-year-old woman is currently being escorted to the premises of the Fier Local Police Directorate, where in-depth investigative actions are being carried out to determine the degree of her responsibility in relation to this case. At the conclusion of the investigative actions, there will be an additional announcement regarding the criminal responsibility of this citizen.
Also, investigations continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of documenting with legal evidence all the circumstances of this case.
