The Italian police have handcuffed an Albanian citizen in Taranto on charges of drug trafficking.
The Albanian had hidden at least 20 kg of heroin in a suitcase and was traveling in a taxi to lose his tracks.
But the police had information about the large amount of drugs he was transporting and the moment he got out of the taxi they handcuffed him.
The name of the arrested person is not disclosed, as investigations continue to find other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The narcotic substance was allegedly destined for the local market, where it would be divided into doses to be distributed in different areas of the Italian city. (A2 Televizion)
