The theft of a vehicle in Elbasan resembles a movie script, where the police of this city but also those of Tirana rose to their feet shortly after midnight to arrest the perpetrators, one of whom turned out to be a former colleague of theirs. After stealing the Nissan vehicle, the two people fled towards Tirana. The police of both cities were in pursuit of the perpetrators.
During the pursuit, the perpetrators crashed the police car that was following them in Babrru with the stolen vehicle. The two officers were slightly injured, while the wanted men managed to escape. After almost two hours of pursuit, they were arrested in the Kamëz area, after the vehicle they stole in Elbasan crashed into a wall and a lighting pole.
Former police officer Eneriko Zyle, 50, wanted for several thefts, and his accomplice, Enis Tela, 37, were arrested. They are accused of several criminal offenses, such as theft, disobeying and resisting police orders, destruction of property, production and sale of narcotics, disturbing public order and peace, and production and possession of cold weapons without a permit. During the search, a quantity of cocaine and a knife were found inside the stolen vehicle. The two arrested are also accused of other thefts that occurred in Tirana, Krujë, Elbasan, Shijak and Klos.
