A 30-year-old man, resident of Preshëv, has been detained by the Police in Morinë after attempting to enter Albania while being wanted by Austrian authorities.
Through a statement, the Police announced that as a result of the checks, it turned out that this citizen was internationally wanted by the Austrian authorities for drug trafficking.
Meanwhile, Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Interpol Vienna to extradite this citizen to Austria.

As a result of controls based on risk analysis, carried out within the framework of the work of the Morina Border Police services, with the objectives of combating crimes at the border and preventing the movement of citizens who are wanted, citizen OK, 30 years old, resident of Presheva, was stopped at the entrance to Albania, in cooperation with specialists from the Anti-Narcotics and Illicit Trafficking Section of the Kukes Border Police Department.
From detailed verifications and second-line interviewing, he was declared internationally wanted, on behalf of the Austrian authorities, for drug trafficking.
