Citizens Ervin Zeka and Kejdi Myzyri (administrator and dentist) have been arrested by the Tirana Police, as part of the operation codenamed 'Dental Safety'.
Through a statement, the Police announced that it is suspected that these citizens were providing dental services using expired preparations.
It is also learned that 12 employees at the clinic have been criminally prosecuted, while expired materials and preparations have also been seized, writes A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offenses "Production and trade of counterfeit medicines and medical devices or those dangerous to life and health", "Illegal employment" and "Hiding income".

State Police - The police operation codenamed "Dental Safety" is being finalized, conducted by the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Sector of the DPPSh, in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force of the Tirana DVP.

As part of the plan of measures for inspections in dental clinics, aimed at the safety of patients receiving services in these entities, specialists from the Economic-Financial Crimes Investigation Sector of the DPPSh, in cooperation with officers of the "Eagle" Special Force of the Tirana Police Department, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Dental Safety".
On Kavaja Street, in the premises of the entity with the administrator, citizen EZ, which offered dental and laboratory services and works such as: therapy, orthodontics, surgery, porcelain bridges, prostheses, implants and repairs of dental appliances, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, a series of expired dental preparations and materials.
At the conclusion of the procedural actions in this case, the administrator of the entity, citizen EZ, 40 years old, and citizen KM, 26 years old, both dentists at the clinic, were arrested in flagrante delicto.
Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against 12 employees of this clinic.
