The Prefecture of Korça, through an announcement, has provided an update on the fire situation in this region.
The announcement states that around 171 personnel are engaged in the field to monitor and extinguish the flames.
Also, in addition to people, there are 7 fire engines and 5 mules loaded with water on the ground, working to extinguish the flames, writes A2 CNN.
It is also known that in addition to the Municipality of Korça, fires are also widespread in the municipalities of Maliq and Pustec.

GRAND TOTAL OF FIELD ENGAGEMENTS:
Approximately 171 personnel engaged in suppression and monitoring operations;
7 different firefighting vehicles, forestry vehicles, administrative units, Military Unit 1033 Drenovo.
5 mules loaded with water and firefighting equipment with access to difficult areas;
Drones in use for aerial surveillance and guidance of operations.
SITUATION ON THE FIELD:
1. Dishnicë Village, Adm. Bulgarec, Korça Municipality
The fire remains active in several isolated pockets in the area between the villages of Dishnicë and Barç. Extinguishing operations are being carried out from favorable positions on the ground, while the Çardhak area is being carefully verified to avoid the risk of spread.
The outbreaks are under control, neutralized and being monitored.
2. Prespa National Park, Pustec Municipality
The rugged terrain and wind make direct intervention difficult. Two small pockets of fire have been identified under the rocks. The forces are divided into specialized groups and equipped with equipment suitable for this terrain. Aerial surveillance with drones continues uninterrupted.
3. Strelce Village, Adm. Unit Gore, Maliq Municipality
The fire has been neutralized. Currently, 60 forces are on the ground for continuous monitoring and control of the area, in order to prevent any possible reactivation of the fires.
