The Korça Court has remanded Andi Shkulaku in custody, arrested 3 days ago by order of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, after he is accused of failing to report a crime related to the serious incident that occurred on August 10, 2024, where Egli Proga was the victim.
His arrest was made after new evidence was administered by the Korça prosecution, which states that the victim Egli Proga was initially raped inside the premises of the bar by citizen Leonidha Guçe and then beaten outside the premises by Denis Meçe, a new detail for the investigations, worsening Guçe's position.
The arrested Andi Shkulaku is believed to have seen everything and was present at the scene and then left. Despite the fact that the Korça prosecution closed the investigation just a few days ago by sending the file to trial, this new evidence seems to change the course of the investigation into the murder of 42-year-old Egli Proga.
According to the investigation file, Denis Meçe is accused of intentional murder, while Leonidha Guce, Voltan Shkulaku and Arjan Manellari are accused of actions that hinder the discovery of the truth, while it is expected that the new file opened due to the latest testimony will be merged with the first file.
