RENEA forces carried out checks during the evening and in the early hours of the morning in Shkodër and some nearby villages.
It is understood that the focus of the controls were the residences of persons with a criminal record and filed by the police.
The sources indicate that weapons and prohibited items have been found which will be sent for examination to the forensics laboratory.
No details have been officially given by the State Police, while it is not confirmed that there were any persons arrested in this operation.
