A large-scale operation by the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces has arrested 13 officials at the Mavromatis customs, at the Qafë Bota border crossing. They are suspected of being involved in cases of bribery, corruption and breach of duty.
The news was published on the Greek website "thespro.gr", while police authorities have not yet provided details about the arrests and the people involved.
The Internal Affairs Service will later provide more information on the charges, the seized items, and the scope of the case.
