A vehicle was engulfed in flames this afternoon at the place called "Kthesa e Fratarit" along the Levan-Tepelena national axis. A family was traveling in it - a married couple and their two young children.
According to sources, the driver heard a loud noise from under the vehicle and immediately stopped on the side of the road. He immediately got his wife and children out of the vehicle, just moments before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.
The fire department intervened in time, making it possible to extinguish the fire, but the vehicle was completely burned. For several minutes, the national road was blocked, creating heavy traffic and panic among other drivers, writes A2 CNN.
It is suspected that the fire was caused by a technical defect, but the investigation team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. Thanks to the driver's cool-headedness, a potential tragedy was averted and the family miraculously escaped without any injuries. (A2 Televizion)
