The Italian police have hit an Italian-Albanian gang that operated mainly in central Italy; in Sardinia, Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Abruzzo. Italian media reports that the operation began at dawn and is carrying out dozens of arrests and searches as part of an investigation into international drug trafficking.
From the early hours of today, in the provinces of Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro, Genoa, Forlì Cesena, Ravenna, Florence, Pescara and Teramo, the carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Cagliari and Compagnia di Quartu Sant'Elena, together with the departments of specialized and the support of the central directorate of anti-drug services, are carrying out dozens of precautionary measures and escorting those who aim for international drug trafficking.
