He pushed his wife to suicide, the verdict is given for Xhemal Lokë

The Durrës Court has decided to sentence Xhemal Loka to 10 years in prison, accused of pushing his wife, Bedrie Loka, to suicide.

During the trial, Xhemal Loka had requested a summary trial, but this was refused by the black platoons.

Investigations revealed that Loka exercised barbaric violence against his wife, leading her to commit an extreme act.

The sentence shall begin to be served from the date of arrest and shall be served in a normal security prison.

At the end of the trial, the Court, with Decision No. 7499, dated 19.12.2024, has Decided:

1. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Xh.L. for committing the criminal offense “Causing suicide”, provided for by Article 99 of the Criminal Code and his sentence to 7 (seven) years of imprisonment.
2. The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Xh. L. for committing the criminal offense “Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition”, provided for by Article 278, paragraph four of the Criminal Code and his sentence to 3 (three) years of imprisonment.
3. In application of Article 55 of the Criminal Code, the joining of the sentences into a single one, finally sentencing him to 10 (ten) years of imprisonment.
4. The sentence shall begin to serve from the date of his arrest and shall be served in a normal security prison.
5. Pursuant to Article 190, point 1, letter “ç” of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the material evidence seized shall be returned to the person to whom it belongs, after the decision becomes final.
6. Pursuant to Article 190, point 1, letter “a” of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the material evidence seized by report - An automatic firearm PPS with no. 89-0579; shall pass in favor of the state after the decision becomes final.
7. Pursuant to Article 190, point 1, letter “ç” of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the material evidence seized by report, the monetary values ​​of 2800 (two thousand eight hundred) Euros and 27'000 (twenty seven thousand) Lekë, shall be returned to the person to whom it belongs, after the decision becomes final.
8. The procedural costs during the preliminary and judicial investigations are charged to the defendant.
9. An appeal may be filed against this decision at the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, within 15 (fifteen) days, starting this deadline from the day after the notification of the reasoned decision.
