A 53-year-old man was injured with gunfire in Elbasan, after a conflict over weak motives.
Through a statement, the Police announced that they have arrested the perpetrator, a 32-year-old citizen, and have criminally prosecuted a 35-year-old for failing to report the crime.
It is also reported that an automatic firearm with silencers, the shotgun with which he allegedly injured the 53-year-old, and combat ammunition were found in the suspected perpetrator's apartment.
The silenced firearm was sent to the Institute of Scientific Police for further examination, to see if this weapon was used in any previous criminal events.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.

The services of the Elbasan Police Commissariat, as a result of rapid operational and investigative actions, immediately after receiving the notification that a citizen had gone to the hospital to receive medical assistance, injured in the leg, suspected of being shot with a shotgun, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Reaction".
As a result of the operation, it was possible to identify, capture and arrest in flagrante delicto the suspected perpetrator, citizen ID, 32 years old, with a previous criminal record in the field of theft.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the 32-year-old, during a conflict for weak motives, shot citizen BB, 53, with a shotgun, who is under the care of doctors, out of danger to his life.
Further, following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen AM, 35 years old, as it is suspected that he was aware of the incident and did not report it.
