The Tirana police announce that they have arrested three people, as they are accused of deceiving foreign citizens, over the phone, to invest in fictitious stock markets.
The coded operation "Hide Call" ended with the seizure of several devices such as 7 computer units, a USB as well as cell phones that were used for this criminal activity.
"Finalized by the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, in cooperation with the Special Force for Special Operations and Research, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, the coded police operation "Hide call".
They were deceiving foreign citizens over the phone to invest in fictitious stock exchanges, 3 citizens were arrested. 2 citizens are still at large, work continues to capture another (collaborators with the 3 arrested). 7 computer units, a USB and mobile phones that were used for this criminal activity were seized.
Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the DVP Tirana, in cooperation with the Special Force for Special Operations and Research, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, after a genuine investigative work, have organized and successfully finalized the coded police operation "Hide call".
As a result of this operation, citizens EI, 21 years old, MK, 22 years old and UT, 23 years old, all three residents of Tirana, were arrested in the act. In addition, the procedure was started for the citizens AU, 22 years old, KT, 20 years old, as well as the wanted citizen DT, 25 years old.
From the investigative actions, it was found that these citizens were employed in a call center entity, in Yzberisht, and in cooperation with each other called foreign citizens, presented themselves as sales agents and through fraud, convinced them to invest in the fictitious Forex exchange .
