The State Police have arrested 5 people while 5 others are wanted, part of a criminal group implicated since 2019 in the sale and trafficking of cannabis, reports A2 CNN.
The arrested are: Dritan Uka, Alban Grori alias Alban Gruri, Mehdi Gjoka, Ylber Tahiri alias Ylli Hida and Ramazan Doçi,
"Within the framework of the "Tentacles" operation, the Directorate for Organized Crime Investigation of the Criminal Police Department of the DPPSh, in cooperation with the Tirana DVP and the Dibër DVP, as well as under the direction of the Tirana Prosecution Office, executed the security measure "Arrest in prison", assigned by the Tirana Court, for the citizens: DU, 45 years old; AG alias AG, 47 years old; M. Gj., 56 years old; YT alias YH, 51 years old and RD, 30 years old. Also, within the framework of this operation, citizens AD alias AD, 51 years old, AD, 48 years old, NG, 35 years old, ET, 24 years old and IP, 34 years old, have been identified and declared wanted," the police said.
These citizens are accused of having organized as a group, since 2019, obtained the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, from various areas in Krujë and Dibër, and then sold it in bars in Tirana, and trafficked it to Kosovo. The investigations suspect that the 10 citizens are collaborators in the commission of these criminal offenses, with 11 citizens identified by the Gjirokastra Police, during the police operation codenamed "Crossborder line", in November 2024.
Work is underway to bring all members of the group to criminal responsibility.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
