Police have revealed new details about the incident that occurred in Kurbin, where there were also gunshots this Thursday morning.
According to law enforcement, officers had information that 28-year-old Claudio Buraku was walking around with a firearm in neighborhood no. 4 of Laçi, and when they intervened to neutralize him, they heard gunshots, and what's more, the young man tried to run away.
Kurbin's blues managed to arrest Buraku, who was wanted for several criminal offenses, but during the pursuit, the vehicle he was driving collided with the Lezha DVP operations service vehicle.
After neutralizing Burak, the police conducted searches and found 3 firearms (2 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov) on him, as well as combat ammunition.
The 28-year-old had been wanted since 2023, accused of illegal possession of weapons, intimidation, and destruction of property.
From the investigations conducted at the scene, it is suspected that before the police intervened to arrest the wanted person, other citizens were in his vehicle.
During a conflict for weak motives, it is suspected that citizen Gjim Buraku, a relative of Klaudio Buraku, wounded citizen Mehmet Domi (26 years old) in the leg with a pistol firearm, whom the Police services immediately transported to the hospital and his life is out of danger.
It is also suspected from the investigative actions that Gjim Buraku, after injuring the 26-year-old, got out of the vehicle driven by his cousin and quickly left on foot.
Police services, during the operation codenamed "Shadows", have arrested and escorted Gjim Buraku while actions continue to document the circumstances of the case.
