The State Police has finalized another phase of the international operation, codenamed "The Wanted", by arresting a 37-year-old. Albion Kalemi was captured in Tepelena after being declared an international wanted man, on behalf of Kosovo.
Two arrest warrants were issued against him by the Peja Court, for cultivation of narcotic plants and for possession of weapons without a permit. The 37-year-old is expected to be extradited to Kosovo.

This phase is the result of the joint work of FAST Albania, DVP Gjirokastër and FAST Kosovo, coordinated by the ENFAST network.
With 2 arrest warrants from the Peja Court, for cultivation of narcotic plants and for illegal possession of weapons, the 37-year-old was arrested with the aim of extradition.
As a result of the coordination of information and operational actions, by the ENFAST network, between counterparts in the FAST unit, in Albania and Kosovo, the Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted, on behalf of Kosovo, AK, 37 years old, born in Tepelena, was arrested in Tepelena following the operation "The wanted".
During 2024, the Basic Court of Peja issued 2 arrest warrants for this citizen. Specifically, one for cultivating narcotic plants and the other for cultivating narcotic plants and possessing weapons without a permit.
Interpol Tirana is cooperating with law enforcement agencies in Kosovo to finalize the procedure for the extradition of citizen AK to Kosovo. (A2 Televizion)
