Tirana police have arrested a 20-year-old man who was transporting a quantity of euro banknotes, suspected to be counterfeit, in his car.
At "Mother Teresa" Square, the Police services have stopped for inspection the vehicle with the driver, citizen AQ, and passengers, citizens DM and SQ.
During the physical search, 100 and 200 euro banknotes, suspected to be counterfeit (a total of 2,800 euros), were found on the SQ citizen, which were seized as material evidence.
Following the actions, a 20-year-old SQ citizen, resident of Elbasan, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Counterfeiting of Coins" and "Fraud", which were attempted.
Also, proceedings were initiated at large for citizens AQ, 23 years old (brother of the 20-year-old) and DM, 23 years old, both residents of Elbasan, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime". (A2 Televizion)
