The Border Police have arrested a 39-year-old man from Kukës, who attempted to smuggle about 1.2 tons of oil into Albania through the border with Kosovo.
The Border Police Services have stopped a van type vehicle on the Pakisht-Kukës rural road, driven by citizen VS, 39 years old, resident of Kolesian, Kukës, where after checking inside the van, the Police found and seized approximately 1.2 tons of diesel smuggled through Pakisht, outside the border crossing points and customs services, avoiding border and customs control.
The quantity of fuel was seized as material evidence, while the driver of the vehicle was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Smuggling of excise goods" and "Illegal crossing of the state border". (A2 Televizion)
