Tirana Police have successfully completed the operation codenamed "Heliks", targeting a criminal group involved in the sale of firearms. As a result, two people were arrested, while two others were declared wanted.
The arrested are FK, 18 years old, and EK, 49 years old, residents of Tirana. Meanwhile, work continues to capture FA, 28 years old, and EZ, 28 years old, who have been declared wanted.
Investigations have revealed that this group operated in Tirana, Fushë Krujë and Thumanë, trading firearms. During the operation, the Police seized three Kalashnikovs, two pistols and a quantity of combat ammunition, which were suspected of being sold in Tirana and Krujë.
The operation was carried out by the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section and the Operational Force of the Tirana DVP, under the direction of the Prosecution. Investigations continue to uncover other persons involved in this criminal activity, while the procedural materials were passed on to the Prosecution for further action. (A2 Televizion)
