Accused of trying to set fire to the dialysis service in Korça,

Kujtim Mero, the 67-year-old who was accused the day before of attempting to set fire to the dialysis ward in Korça, has denied this accusation, calling it a fabrication by the medical staff.

"These are slanders, that I have not reached that stage, as they think and as they make me crazy. That if it is for crazy, it may be them and not me, that I am so logical, that I am going to be 70 years old and I am not wrong in those things. If I have any personal grudge, I can take it out on the person himself," Mero told A2 CNN.

However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the hospital, as according to him, he did not receive the necessary service. "In January I have 3 minus sessions, which I did not receive. Yesterday this conversation was made up, it was prepared, it was a trap, for me to argue. While I felt very calm. They had prepared it," he said.

Mero added that on Thursday he went to have a dialysis session, he asked to have his machine replaced because it was not working properly and there was a debate about this. According to him, even the police did not find any fuel when he went to the hospital. "I asked to have my machine replaced because it was defective and they did not replace it... I had nothing, what would they find in me? Even the police when they came there did not find anything in me. These are fabrications, slanders".

Dialysis is a medical procedure that helps clean the blood when the kidneys are not working properly. This occurs when the kidneys are unable to remove waste and excess fluid from the body. There are two main types of dialysis: hemodialysis, where the blood is cleaned through a special machine, and peritoneal dialysis, which uses the abdominal membrane to filter waste.

Dialysis is vital for patients with severe kidney failure, helping to maintain electrolyte balance and blood pressure. The procedure is usually performed several times a week, in hospitals or specialized centers. Although it is an important treatment, it does not cure kidney disease, but helps replace their impaired function. (A2 Televizion)
