The Korça Court imposes probation for Dritson Kurti, who is accused of having sexual relations with minors.
In the session held today at the Korça court, it was decided that Kurti will serve a 5-year probation sentence, writes A2 CNN.
This was the request of the prosecution, while the defense claimed innocence using the tradition of the Roma community as an argument, while the court accepted the prosecution's request.
Dritson Kurti was arrested last year after fathering a baby with his underage cohabitant, A2 CNN reports.
The minor, as well as their family members, claimed that his arrest was illegal, and that their cohabitation was consensual.
They even protested in support of him, stating that their community had a custom of marrying off girls as minors. (A2 Televizion)
