Occupied the road and clashed with the village headman, the owner of the hotel

The physical clash over an occupied road between the owner of a hotel and the headman of the village of Tushemisht, in Pogradec, has led to the arrest of businessman Jetmir Muçollari.

The latter was arrested by the Pogradec police after the conflict that degenerated into violence, which occurred the day before in the tourist area of Drilon.

"Crime Investigation Specialists at the Pogradec Police Station detained citizen JM, 52 years old, after verification conducted by the IMT and the Pogradec Police Station revealed that this citizen had carried out construction work without a permit in Voloreka," the police announced.

Muçollari, owner of the "Voloreka" hotel, physically clashed with the village headman Ilirjan Tasellari and another resident of the area, identified as Prokop Pilinçi, over a street area that he claimed was his property.

After the intervention of the Police and the launch of investigations, it turned out that Muçollari had carried out construction without a permit on this area, despite the fact that the land is located within a protected area.

The Inspectorate of Territorial Protection in Pogradec had suspended the works a week earlier, but the works had continued in violation of the decision. As a result, Muçollari is now facing two criminal charges: “Land misuse” and “Illegal construction for profit.”

The case has been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation, while the police continue to work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. (A2 Televizion)
