Tirana police have arrested a 17-year-old suspected of helping the two perpetrators who opened fire two days ago in Kamëz, and of giving false statements claiming to be the perpetrator. The minor told officers that he was the one who fired the gun at another vehicle. However, security camera footage showed that he was not at the scene. For this reason, police suspect that the 17-year-old may have been influenced by the perpetrators to take responsibility for the crime.
He is accused of "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth" and "False statement before a judicial police officer."
The police have announced that Dejvi Mullai, who was the driver of the BMW from which the gunfire was heard, and Fabion Kurti are wanted as suspects. The two young men have a history of drug distribution. Enejdo Kaci, the target of the incident, is also wanted. The latter was driving a rented Range Rover, which he had later abandoned in the garage of a building.
According to sources for A2 CNN, the two perpetrators, Mullai and Kurti, are people with precedents for distributing narcotics. The argument between the young men began after a fight between them, over banal swearing.
Police sources say the young men live in the same neighborhood and on Friday evening they had a conflict with each other, initially over the words "why are you looking" and then ended up in a physical altercation, until they fired a gun from a moving car. (A2 Televizion)
