Dritan Rexhepi did not appear at the next hearing against him and his co-defendants, accused of the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga.
Through his lawyer, Joana Qeleshi, Rexhepi justified his absence by the fact that in order to be at the hearing, he would have to be escorted from Fier detention center to detention center 313 in Tirana on Friday.
In the session that followed without his presence, SPAK presented written evidence to the court. Among them, the crime scene inspection reports and the expert report showing the compatibility of the DNA obtained from the blood stains at the scene with those of Jan Prenga's mother.
SPAK prosecutors also claimed that through video footage seized from several businesses, the route followed by the vehicle in which Jana Prenga was forcibly entered was documented. The footage proved that the victim was kept under surveillance for several days before the incident, with the suspects' Land Rover following the victim's vehicle on January 15, 16 and 17.
