"56% of women are with the SP", Rama: Albanians choose, in Europe with

For Edi Rama, Albanians have only one choice to make on May 11, and that is to continue on the path with the Socialist Party towards the European Union, or to sink into the swamp, with which he identifies the Democratic Party.

"We have a long way to go, but it is very important that Albanian women understand how fundamental it is that on May 11 the Albanian people overcome the boundaries that divide people in the elections. May 11 is the second meeting with the history of Albanians. The first meeting was in 1991-1992, where Albanians overwhelmingly voted for the Democratic Party. In March, in the general elections, the people understood that this was the moment. This was March 22. Today, May 11 is the moment, the place where the people make a decision, to continue without stopping, without interrupting the negotiations for membership, or to confuse between us, the Albanian people and the EU, the swamp and the marshes, which are an option for an election on May 11. This must be shared by the people," said the Prime Minister.

Rama then expressed his belief that without him in power, Albania would lose the historic chance to become a full member of the union.

"If it is not the SP and if I am not in office, Albania will not go with anyone else to the EU, for a longer time than we think today," he declared.

For the Prime Minister, the majority's victory in these elections will be guaranteed, as he claims that the Socialist Party has the support of 56 percent of women nationwide.

"All of this is the result of a process, of an effort, of great perseverance and of the belief that women and girls are added value. I am very pleased. If they had told me earlier, we have the support of 56 percent of women and girls in Albania. Among men, we are lower, but I do not regret it at all. Thatcher was a very strong, wise woman, and she said it very simply, very clearly, if you want to talk, sit down and do it with men. If you want to work, get up and do it with women. I have seen this in my daily experience," declared Rama from the electoral meeting in Lezha.

As for the men of this country who did not like the labeling as "çyryk" by the head of government, he seems not to regret the reference, and even blames men for Albania's lack of further progress in every field.

"Some are upset. Woe to those who watch television in this country, the nightclubs where men lie down and give their minds, but they have no minds. They are upset, as Edi Rama says, with half of the çyryk men. Because if they weren't half çyryk, do you know where Albania would be today? Because men have had it in their hands, for a very long time. Is it normal for a man to jump headlong into the swamp? We have 56 percent of women in all of Albania. We only need half of the men and we win, we're fine", Rama stressed. (A2 Televizion)
