"This fight against corruption, these investigations and trials that are taking place, as you say, have no connection to any plan, project, program or will of the SP? If it weren't for me and the SP, you wouldn't see these things." This is how Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to one of his followers in the "Sy m'sy" column who asked him if he had any plans to fight corruption.
Describing SPAK leader Altin Dumani as courageous and honest, Rama said that he had previously been a prosecutor here, but according to him, the Socialist Party should come to power to carry out justice reform.
"Altin Dumani, for whom I have respect and my and our solidarity in the face of the brutal attacks, even against his family. He did not come from the moon, nor was he brought by plane from America and Europe when the SPAK institution was established. He was here, he worked as a prosecutor. Did you hear Dumani then? I am convinced that he was honest and courageous even then. Had you heard him before? Why was Dumani not called? Why was Dumani not taken by some politician and told to come here and give me an account? Why didn't some politician take him and bring him to justice. Why? Because the time that I and the SP brought, that we reformed the justice system and handed over the sword of justice to punishment, had not yet come. We gave the SP's own organization to escalate the fight against corruption and to ask the justice system to intervene wherever it sees fit and to clean up our house. Doesn't that sound like a plan to you?"
Rama brought to attention the attacks by the SPAK chief prosecutor, which he described as animalistic and said that Berisha and Basha wanted to hinder the justice reform. He also referred to Berisha's statements that when he comes to power he will dissolve SPAK.
"What about the swamp owl and all these "flowers", have you seen what they did when I and the SP wanted to reform the justice system and how they reacted and how they tried to react? Do you hear the owl saying, "Give me your vote, I'll dissolve SPAK?" (A2 Televizion)
